The story

I've spent 15 years inside B2B marketing — agency side, in-house, Director level, solo operator. I've built marketing functions from nothing, repositioned agencies, managed national campaigns across 100+ locations, and led digital transformations for companies in manufacturing, healthcare, ecommerce, and professional services.

What I've learned across all of it is that most B2B companies have the same underlying problem: they're running campaigns on a foundation that was never properly built. No real understanding of who their buyer actually is. Tools that aren't connected. No way to trace a lead back to what created it. So they spend money, run campaigns, and hope something sticks.

Flint & Steel exists because I got tired of watching good companies leave results on the table for fixable reasons. The intelligence and infrastructure work isn't glamorous — it's not the work that gets talked about at conferences. But it's what makes everything else compound. Get it right, and every campaign you run afterward is faster, cheaper, and more likely to work.

I'm based in Greenville, SC — which matters more than it might sound. Upstate South Carolina is one of the most interesting B2B markets in the Southeast, home to a dense international manufacturing ecosystem that most national consultants fly over on the way to Atlanta. I build, I don't advise

Consulting engagements that end with a slide deck and a handshake have never interested me. My engagements end with connected tools, working dashboards, documented playbooks, and a system you own. The measure of good work is what's still running after I leave.

Honest over comfortable

If your SEO program has fundamental problems, I'll tell you before we talk about content calendars. If your attribution is broken, I'll say so before we discuss campaign performance. The most useful thing I can do is tell you the truth quickly.
